Mundane Monotony

Every morning we wake and rise,
Every morning we get dressed again
We go through every day all the same.
Though we may find one or two a suprise,
We continue and continue, life mundane.
Through all the agony, and all the shame.

Every day, pouring the same old coffees,
Biting and burning the same toungue.
Touching, fondling, chopping, the same hair.
Chewing, to find surprises in toffees,
Fleeting our childhood, we were never young.
Repeating over mistakes, as life remains unfair

Every hour, saying hello to the same people,
Every night slipping into the same bed.
Every moment, bringing the same change.
Watching movies, the same way, illegal,
Confessing love the same, face flushed red.
Every year losing friends the same, so strange.

We see the same with different reactions,
We make everything so predictable and simple
Finding monotony absurd I wonder,
Why we repeat on and on these interactions.
Smiling with impulse, watching those dimples.
Shivering the same in the name of thunder.

Every second everything is different,
But it's all the same, repeated again.
People are far too different but all the same.
Poetic we seem chasing something magnificent,
Crashing and burning the same stained with pain,
We all repeat, continue, this life without aim.

This poem is about how life can get a little too stagnant, boring and repetitive to the point where you don’t even wanna keep continuing your life.
